Nieuws: AskJeeves en MSN stoppen met betaalde zoekmachine-opname dienst
Het lijkt erop dat het betalen voor zoekmachine-opname geen lang leven meer is beschoren. 2 weken geleden kondigde AskJeeves reeds aan te stoppen met 'paid inclusion'. Nu lijkt ook de binnenkort te lanceren nieuwe zoekmachine van Microsoft deze dienst te hebben geschrapt.

AskJeeves Drops Remaining Paid Inclusion Program: "AskJeeves is retiring its Site Submit paid inclusion program. The move, coming several months after the company dropped its Index Express XML-based inclusion offering, marks a complete withdrawal from the practice of allowing companies to pay for guaranteed indexing."
